This is probably the best stop leak out there. I had noxious coolant steam coming in the cab of my truck. This means a leak in the heater core - very expensive fix, around $800 as the whole dash has to come out. Fixed it right away. NOTE - negative reviews and damage are most likely caused by misuse. If you do not regularly flush your cooling system, you will have problems. If you already have lots of gunk, this will pile on it and cause problems. 1) Get your system flushed first!, 2) Run the engine for at least 45 min(they say 20) and not just at idle, drive it. You can buy a kit to flush it yourself for $20 + $10 for anti-freeze. Make sure to leave the heat on HOT as some cars have a valve that bypasses the heater core until you call for heat.

Had a 2 different leaks in 2 different cars and it fixed both.
1998 Volvo S70 - Fixed a leak in the heater-core; no longer smell antifreeze when the heat is on.
2006 Ford Explorer - Fixed a Larger leak in the radiator, and its been going with no antifreeze drips for 3-4 Months now. $500 Save!
Anyways, I did read that someone fouled up their Radiator with this stuff.

I have a 2003 Honda Civic EX 1.7L. My car was running hot occasionally as well as low on coolant. I would top it off about every two weeks just to keep up with it. Every once in a while I would smell coolant so I knew I had a leak somewhere. At the rate of about 8oz every two weeks, I knew it had to be a small pin hole somewhere.
I bought the liquid aluminum, read the instructions and followed them to the letter. It is a 4 cylinder car so I only used half a bottle, when the car was cool and while I was topping it off. I let it run 10 to 20 minutes after putting it in. At about the usual two week point, the car started running hot and was still losing coolant. The stop leak did not work. Only now I have the hose to my overflow tank popped off. I changed the thermostat and clamped down the hose. A little while longer the car is running hot and I see the same hose at another point has popped off. I flushed the entire system and clamped all points of the hose. I notice my overflow tank would not drain and when I ran low, it didn't circulate through to the radiator. The little metal flakes were everywhere under my hood.
